Tagged: Try some nitrile exam gloves!
I was just recently diagnosed with Lupus and Reynaud’s. I am really glad I found this site. It looks like it will be very useful.
My current dilemma is what to get to keep my fingers warm. I have searched all over the internet and now I am just more confused.
First, should I go for mittens or gloves?
I spend a lot of time on the computer so I am leaning toward mittens. What type is also a concern. complete coverage or the type which have the finger tips exposed!
Any help you can give will be most appreciated.
I spend about half of my work shift outdoors. In the winter I wear subzero gloves over a pair of “magic gloves” purchased for $2 at Walmart: they are the ones that stretch to fit. I keep gel hand Warmers that are activated when needed, at my office. I slip the gel hand-warmers between both layers of gloves when I need to. My biggest delima is how to keep my feet warm.
I work in the OR where the temps are in the low 60’s and I find wearing the nitrile exam gloves all the time help keep my hands warm. You may want to pick up a box at the local pharmacy. This way they are still thin enough you can type, but provide a barrier from heat loss!
