Hi I’m new to the group. I’m from the uk, I’m 38yrs old and been told I’ve got raynauds, waiting to see a cardiologist and a rheumatologist. The cardiologist is because I had a heart attack on 26 march and a week later was diagnosed with raynauds. I’m on nifedipine in the evenings, aspirin in the mornings and my conditions worsen every day. I can’t wait until 3rd June when I see the rheumatologist.
Welcome to the group. I am relatively new to this group but I have found a lot of support here. I was particularly interested in the fact you were diagnosed soon after having heart problems.
My Raynaud’s started soon after I had a pacemaker implanted.
I have always wondered if the heart problem (A-fib) might have something to do with the onset. I am 70 years old (69 when my A-fib was diagnosed). From what I have read that is pretty old for the onset of Raynaud’s.
Anyway, I wish you luck and good health. You might ask the cardiologist about a connection between heart problems and autoimmune diseases. I plan to check this out with my cardiologist at the end of June when I go in for my check-up.
