I looked at the chilblains post, but I don’t think it’s the same thing. What I am experiencing is not lumpy, painful, or itchy. They are not sores. The one finger and one toe are just red/swollen/inflamed and a tiny bit tender to the touch.
I know it’s been almost a year since you posted this, but I am sort of new to the site and just came across this post, so I thought I would reply anyway.
I few years ago (before I was diagnosed with Raynaud’s) I had anorexia and was severely underweight. I am closer to a healthy weight at this point, but I am still slightly underweight and have a lower body fat percentage than the normal range for females my age.
I am not a doctor nor have I ever seen any scientific study proving this or anything, but it makes sense that having lower body fat would predispose a person to not retaining heat as well.
My mother constantly admonishes me, telling me that I am so cold because I “have no fat to keep [me] warm!” :p
Again, I have no proof that this is true, but it does make sense.
