The inventor created these heated slippers for his mother who suffered from both Raynaud’s and peripheral neuropathy.  The lightweight and fairly flat rechargeable lithium-ion batteries have a built-in thermostat control that automatically adjusts the temperature output for optimal comfort.

In addition to articles  originally published in our blog, this issue contains Member Stories, Hot Products, Member Tips and other regular features found in past Cold Cuts. 

The email version of the publication will now be published quarterly.  We’ll still continue the printed version for those members expressing a preference for it, as well as those without access to email. Each twice-a-year print version will now combine the content from two successive quarterly email newsletters.  We hope you’ll now enjoy both formats!  Please continue to send us your feedback.

We’re planning to launch our first email version of Cold Cuts with this issue.  Members who’ve supplied their email addresses in the past year will be our first recipients.  The printed version will still remain available for those who prefer it, but we’re hoping to migrate most of our circulation to email over the course of this year, and are hoping it will allow us to publish more frequent newsletters.

But we understand that not every Raynaud’s sufferer will want to join the Forum.  And, given the all-volunteer army of three supporting the Raynaud’s Association at headquarters plus our limited budget, newsletters can only be published twice a year.   So we wanted to add the ability to post news, important info for Raynaud’s patients, and highlight articles from our newsletters right on our home page.  The new format will help us share more current information with members and will give Raynaud’s patients the opportunity to share their input and opinions on these postings and help further the dialogue among fellow Frosties.

We hope you’ll enjoy the new format, and will be vocal with us in sharing your ideas about additional ways we can improve this web site and our communications with members.
