(My gp suspets limited systemic sclerosis) I got the blood results today negative to ana ena etc does this mean i dont have limited systemic sclerosis or can you still have negative blood tests and still have the disease

Hi, lollipop. For a variety of reasons, systemic sclerosis is a difficult condition to diagnose. Most doctors will base the diagnosis on a combination of blood test results and clinical symptoms. It is possible to have a diagnosis of systemic sclerosis with negative test results, and it is also possible to have positive test results yet never develop any compelling symptoms. The best specialist to see for an evaluation is a rheumatologist, preferably one who has experience with scleroderma.

saw the rheumatologist yesterday starting me on losartin for circulation (i couldnt tolerate nifedipine lowered my already low bp and kept feeling dizzy) he has ordered an ecg and lung function test and referred me to a colleague for nail foil capilliary tests. Didnt give me any advice on this terrible itching i have dveloped over the past week and didnt seem to botheres on my tender shoulders and ankles or the feeling of my feet being sunburnt and swollen , i suppose he wants to rule out other things first. I just wonder if i will ever get back to work!
