I'm guessing you already know the pregnancy often makes Raynaud's worse for you to be asking that question! I note that it seems to get worse near the start of pregnancy, and start getting better near the end. Make sure you educate yourself about Raynaud's of the nipple to give yourself the best chance of being able to breastfeed - see this link for more info: http://www.summerwarmth.co.nz/...information-c-13.html

I don't know if you currently take any meds for your Raynaud's, but if it gets really bad then drs will sometimes prescribe Nifedipine to pregnant women, which seems to be reasonably safe for pregnant women, and is definitely an option while breastfeeding.

All the best.

In general, breastfeeding is not painful. Also, you can pump if you need to be away from the baby while at school. Check with a lactation consultant to get all the facts instead of relying on what one person says. Anyhow, it is possible for the Raynaud's to worsen because of circulatory changes during pregnancy. That wasn't my experience, though, and mine is pretty bad and easily-triggered. Everyone is different.

Great reply Chillyhoops :-)
I've had a lady post on my forum for women with Raynaud's of the nipple, who had very severe Raynaud's while she was pregnant, and this lady went on to breastfeed with no sign of Raynaud's at all! I'd heard that this did occur, but it's great to have had it backed up by someone. Here's the link to the post
