Hi everyone, I just joined this site. I found you while Googling for Raynaud's products for the upcoming winter (which you can probably imagine I'm not looking forward to). This summer, due to the extreme heat in our region and the air conditioning used to combat it, has been particularly painful. In an effort to keep warm, I've fallen asleep with my hairdryer multiple times and suffered some pretty nasty burns, blisters and all. Clearly, I need different options.
I've had Raynaud's for as long as I can remember. I was diagnosed with it when I was very young. I remember being about 8 or 9 years old and going outside in the summer (I hate a/c lol) to lie down on the hot cement to get warm. I've never been able to go to restaurants in the summer without a big, warm sweater. I figure you probably understand if you're reading this Anyhow, I'll keep this short (er, too late?). Looking forward to talking with others who understand. ------------------------- Shannon Primary Raynaud's diagnosed in early childhood. My husband bought me a large heating pad with a 4 hour auto shut off so that I can warm my side of the bed. It works really well and has never gotten too hot. I also use a rice sock heated in the microwave for heating the foot of the bed and to thaw out my toes.
