Hey everyone! I just recently was diagnosed with primary raynauds so I'm trying to figure out how to deal with it so would love any advice! My fingers are usually freezing the whole day even with gloves. At night, when im finally in my warm apartment I notice that my fingers get really warm, swollen and red with throbbing. It's not necessarily painful when it's like this but its very uncomfortable to where I have to wait till they get normal so I can go to sleep. Does anyone also have this problem? Or any advice would be amazing. Thank you!

Cassie, what you are describing is the typical final phase of a Raynaud's attack. As the blood vessels relax and blood flows back into the affected area, it is normal to experience throbbing, redness and, perhaps, some swelling. The only way to prevent this is to avoid having an attack in the first place, either by practical means (dressing warmly, not smoking, etc.) or by taking medication.
