I HAVE BEEN diagnosed with Rayaud;s pheomena - my hands are the worse- skin very raw- and red. No matter what soap ( of which I use the mildest)- no moisturizer that has lanolin.- that turns hands red ( without cold weather)-
would appreciate any feedback thanks

Hi,

I have recently been diagnosed too, and have had dermititus on my hands and feet for many years.

I find that aqueous cream is the only thing that stops my skin from breaking.... definately something worth a try!

I use dr. bronner's castile soap (you can put it in a foaming soap container with a little water added and it makes perfect hand soap). I make my own lotion in a double broiler:
8 oz. Coconut Oil
4 oz. Shea Butter
1 1/2 T Grapeseed oil
1 T. Olive Oil
Optional 1/4 t. Local Honey
Optional 10-20 Drops Essential Oil (lavender, tea tree, etc)

Whip together all ingredients with mixer or whisk and put into small jar (will fit into 16 oz glass jar)

Keep it natural and know what you're putting on your skin! It's helped me tremendously.

Thanks for recipe. I'll give it a try. Have a hard time finding lotion that doesn't irritate skin.

hi I use organic, african shea butter from fushi, when soaks in makes my skin very moisturissed.I dont use soap because all soaps no matter how moisturising strip the skin of its protective moisture layer..use a shower gel without sodium lauryl sullphate ,ive found this to be effective.

I have found something that works the best among my tote full of lotions and creams... It's o'keeffe's working hands. This little green jar works wonders...
