Two months ago I had an injury to my big toe and that caused an ingrown toenail. After the surgery was performed the podiatrist said I had Raynaud's, my MD also diagnosed Raynaud's after this. The toe is still not completely healed and is painful. Whenever I step outside into hot, humid air my whole foot swells and I'm not able to walk enough to get back into my house. My MD gave me amlodipine which caused more swelling. I plan to see a rheumetologist, but does anybody have any other advice?

Every day I take my temperature three times and plot it on a chart. Two weeks ago, per doctor's orders, I began taking pills to rebuild my adrenals. The chart shows a clear trend of rising temperatures. It's exciting. I can't help but think that part of the trend is due to the warmer temperatures outside, but I know that it's not all due to warmer weather either because my temps are warmer even in places where the temperature is controlled - like my office at work.

Jeff

I think I may have figured out that my allergy medication causes my Raynaud's to flare up. The pollen count is really high here in VA and I've been relying on my allergy meds with a decongestant to get me through the day, but I've noticed that my hands and feet have been really cold and turning colors lately and it is really warm out.

Anyone else notice that medications with pseudoephedrine in them cause them to have a flare up?

I'm reading a book called Over the Counter Natural Cures by Shane Ellison. Ellison used to work for a pharmaceutical company as a chemist. From what I've read so far, he quit when after seeing pharmaceuticals make his father and a good friend sick. Now he's revealing the dirty secrets of the pharmaceutical business. Anyway, on pp.64-65 he discusses calcium channel blockers. Anyone who is taking these drugs or considering taking them will want to read what he has to say. Your life may depend on it.

Jeff

I get unbelievably cold at the grocery store--I hate going. One helpful thing I found is to stop at the heated display case thing they put the fresh roasted chicken in--not sure if every grocery store has those, but I think most big ones do. I often go over to it & stick my hands under those heat lamps for a few minutes.
