The heat index in Iowa was supposed to reach 102 today...and I am thinking about heated gloves :-) The Gerbing gloves sound very attractive. The Stephanie Rainey advertisement was very good. She was very convincing!

Unfortunately, I have a problem: I wear gloves in XXL but my fingers are long and I have a large ring size. Glove sizing is determined by the size of your palm; but, finger dimensions are ignored. Every company sizes the fingers differently.

When I was first diagnosed, I spent a lot of time buying gloves through mail order and a lot of postage returning them because the fingers were too short or narrow. I have twice driven 120 miles to Cabelas in Owatonna, MN to stock up before winter. I usually find something that works well but cannot wear most of the gloves in stock.

Anyway, I was excited to see that Gerbings offers their products in XXL but figure that there is a 20 to 30 percent chance that the gloves will fit. I wrote an e-mail to the sales folks at Gerbings with my story and asked if they have a way to provide finger dimensions.

I am hoping for some good news and will pass along what I learn. If these gloves both fit *and* are warm, I would be very happy.

As we've seen a great deal of interest in site search and past surveys for heated steering wheel covers, we've been in touch with a manufacturer who is working on product development for us Frosties.

Our manufacturing contact has researched what's available in the market and what he's mostly found appear to be lower-priced, not very effective options. He sees an opportunity for a superior product that is a high-quality, heated wrap that would not only feel comfortable to the touch when in the off mode, but when on, would be nice and toasty. The product would be powered by a hidden battery that can be plugged in when the car is parked, charged and ready to go when the driver is.

The key question we have is how much would you pay for such a product? Can you please give us some feedback? We'd really appreciate your input.

Thanks!
