My hand doctor seems to think I have Raynaud’s but I’m not convinced.
After pitting an ice pack on a finger with swollen knuckles I had what appeared to be frost bite on the tip. After a week of white and numbness the feeling began to return, but a thick layer of skin peeled off the finger. It seems to be back to normal now but the knuckles are still swollen and sore. I haven’t read anywhere about the skin peeling off after an episode of Raynaud’s.
I am cold all the time and need sweaters in the air conditioning but I’ve always thought that was due to low blood pressure and possibly poor circulation.
Has anyone ever heard of the skin peeling with Raynaud’s? I think I just had a minor case of frost nip.
