Doctors usually ask how often attacks occur to determine whether medication is needed. Some people recover quickly from an attack with rewarming techniques. Those with Secondary Raynaud’s may take longer and have individual digits that are worse than others. If sores are present any attack will make the digit hurt more and healing is very slow. It is crucial to start medicine to prevent infection and promote healing.
It is important to try and prevent an attack to prevent tissue damage but I have never heard that the more attacks you have the worse the disease will get.
I hope this helps.
