I have had the symptoms of Reynauds for a few years now, but only recently has it been diagnosed and affecting me greatly. I have been experiencing chest pains that come on when I come inside after being out in the cold.
The pains were bad enough that I took my blood pressure and was 132/124, so I called an ambulance seeing I couldn’t catch my breath either. Thinking I was having a cardiac event, even the paramedics thought this was cardiac, their bp readings were 140/128 than the ambulance en route to the hospital 135/100.
By the time I got to the hospital, covered in warm blankets with the heat cranked in the ambulance, I started to settle down and so did the bp 130/95. Stress test, CT Scans, and other tests showed nothing wrong with the heart? This happened to me twice in a few days, both times heading to the ER praying it’s not a heart attack, but also wondering what in the world is giving me chest pains.
While laying in the hospital bed last night, I was wondering if this could be related to the Reynauds and asked the cardiac nurse. She managed to get me an appointment with the hospital’s own cardio/pulmonary unit today. So I was just wondering if anyone else has had this experience, and any questions or things I should point out to the doctor.
