I was recently diagnosed with Raynauds. I guess I have all of your typical symptoms. They ran an ANA Panel, which came back positive. The nurse that called me back with the results only stated that my # was significantly high & they were referring me to a rheumatologist & the soonest they can get me in is at the end of April :'(
I’m completely stressed on what all of this means.
On another note, does anyone have a hard time just being able to get warm? It seems like no matter what I do or try, I can NOT get warm. The water in the shower is never hot enough, the electric blanket is never warm enough, no matter how high I turn the thermostat up…it never takes the chill away!!! I’ve always just thought it was that I’m so cold natured, but now…..
Thanks for listening!!! & I could use any advice that anyone has!!!!!!!!!!March 28, 2015 at 7:19 am #6318SarahModerator
Thanks for joining the Raynaud’s forum. It can be difficult to patiently wait for that first appointment with the rheumatologist. I hope you will continue to post and share what happens at the appointment.April 18, 2015 at 3:34 pm #6407jodieelizaParticipant
Yes. I hate that feeling. I try hot herbal tea and use my battery operated heated socks and my battery operated heated gloves and wrap up in the thermal blanket when i get like that. I find a good soak in the tub helps too! I never warm up in a shower.April 22, 2015 at 4:25 pm #6442
The day of my appointment has finally come!!! They did some more blood work, paying more attention to Lupus at this time. Other than that, they gave me tips on keeping my core warm & a check up date in 1 year. Thank you for the encouragement!!!April 29, 2015 at 11:32 am #6468Mrsmay3Participant
Hello everyone. I was looking for a specific user by the name of olebandit. They had some very interesting advice on an old forum and was hoping I could still find this user. They seem to have or have had some of the same issues I have with my Raynaud’s. If you happen to know how I find a specific user (as I am very new to this), please let me know. I just now figured out how to post. Thanks so much.April 29, 2015 at 7:10 pm #6469SarahModerator
It is not possible to search the forum for a specific user.
I remember Olebandit. He has not participated in the forum for several years.June 16, 2015 at 10:38 pm #6594
Appointment #2 was today with my rheumatologist. My 2nd ANA panel came back with abnormalities again. I tested positive for lupus. I guess I’m still in shock. She said that I tested low & for now we’re going to keep an eye on it & have check ups every 3 months. I can’t concentrate on anything else now. I’ve been googling Lupus all evening. It seems like I’ve had several “symptoms” all along, but was just chalking them up to being normal. Is that possible? Or am I just seeing too much into it? I keep thinking that I’m being paranoid now & an hypochondriac. Feeling so lost & that I can’t talk to anyone. I don’t like to bombard other’s with my problems & be the one known for always talking about her health problems. I don’t know where to go from here.

Hi Miss, sorry to hear about the diagnosis. I really sympathize with your condition. I think we all here struggle with symptoms to some degree. Please keep us updated on your situation. Hoping for the best.
