Hello, 32 years ago I severed the top of my index finger in the chain of an exercise bike. I was 9 at the time. It was pretty mangled and the doctors did try to reattach it but it didn’t take. After a flesh and skin graft the doctors managed to save the top knuckle, for which i am grateful as it is not that noticeable. However, i have no nail or nailbed, just a stump.
In my 20’s I started to notice that when my hands got cold, that just that one finger would go completely white. There would be a clear line where my finger started, everything else on that hand was fine just this one white finger! I often need to run it under hot water to get the blood flow back.
Do I have Raynauds or this some other thing caused by the loss of a finger tip??
