Hi, I’m new to the forum. I have had Raynaulds since I was 12 or 13, about 14 years now.
A couple of years ago I started experiencing some different symptoms, permanent numbness in the fingers, diminished feeling to hot and cold etc. Recently, I’ve had what look like blisters forming under the skin, which then turns hard, thick, and rather dented or pock-marked. I wasn’t concerned at first, but these patches have begun to spread down the affected finger and to others. Eventually the hard skin peels off and the finger is practically normal for awhile, but it always comes back in exactly the same place. At one point I even had trouble straightening my finger entirely, it was so still and the skin felt so tight. These “blisters” look nothing the pictures I’ve seen of ulcers, and don’t have pus or bleed. The only bleeding comes when the skin cracks around the hard patches of skin.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I thought it was just a progression of the symptoms, but am now wondering if it might be something other than Raynaulds.
I’d be so grateful for any thoughts. Thanks so much!
