Welcome to the Raynaud’s Association:
Your resource for living a warmer, more comfortable life.
You’re viewing this message because you’ve discovered our resources for serving the Raynaud’s community – people who suffer from extreme reactions to the cold and are constantly seeking greater warmth. Maybe you’ve benefited from our advice or were more confident communicating with your doctor, or you just felt less stressed knowing that there are more people out there in the cold like you who just can’t get enough warmth!
We can’t cure Raynaud’s today, so we’re doing all we can
to bring you all the warmth possible
to help prevent, or at least better manage, your Raynaud’s attacks.
Our goal is to help improve the quality of life for those who suffer the pain and discomfort from Raynaud’s.
You’re one of the lucky ones, yes lucky – because at least you know the cause of your painfully cold fingers, toes and maybe other extremities. You’re in the top 10% of Raynaud’s sufferers, the other 90% have no idea that there’s a medical explanation for what happens to them when they feel extreme pain crossing through the frozen food aisle, reaching into the refrigerator, or even holding a cold can of soda. For this reason, an important part of our efforts extends to building awareness of Raynaud’s in order to reach and educate this unfortunate uninformed group of sufferers.
Our Mission is At Risk
and We May Not Be Able to Continue Serving
The Raynaud’s Community
We’re facing a very serious issue: Our costs keep going up and our donations aren’t growing enough to cover them. In fact, we’ve operated for the past 2 years at a loss. Yet from the comments we see on our social media pages and contact forms, it appears our work is needed and appreciated, it just doesn’t translate into financial support. The large majority of our members don’t contribute to our cause, in fact less than 10% of our active members donate to the Raynaud’s Association.
How else can we fund all of our efforts to bring you these warming resources and reach out to those who have no clue about their frigid pain in the cold? It has to start with you. Your support is vital in helping us continue to provide essential services to people like you and make a positive impact on your life and the lives of others with similar needs for greater warmth.
We’re an all-volunteer organization, with no paid staff, no overhead. Every dollar contributed goes toward helping to reach fellow Raynaud’s sufferers, building awareness among those who haven’t discovered the source of their pain, and providing tips, product discoveries and coping suggestions that can help make patients’ lives warmer and more comfortable.
We understand that there are many worthy causes vying for your attention and support this time of year. But who can better understand the need to deliver on our warm cause than fellow Raynaud’s sufferers? It’s a disorder that’s often overlooked and ignored, and it’s our job to help others take it more seriously.
So we hope that you’ll consider donating to our organization and joining us in our mission to bring more warmth and comfort into the lives of those struggling with this widespread but little known medical condition. Even just a few dollars from each of you can make a significant difference.
Together, we can work to improve the lives of all individuals living with Raynaud’s and ensure that the Raynaud’s community receives the warm support it deserves.
