The Northeast Regional Climate Center at Cornell University reports it’s official:  This has been the hottest year on record in the Northeast region! 

Temperatures in the heat of July ranged from 101 in Syracuse to 105 at Washington’s Reagan National Airport on July 7th.  On the 18th, Baltimore and Newark recorded temps of 104 degrees.

This was also a relatively mild winter with the first seven months hitting record warm temperatures in New England and several of the mid-Atlantic states.  For more details on this great news for Northeast Frosties, see the full article on NBCNEWS.com.
