FDA Approves Drug to Treat Lupus

Good news for fellow Frosties with Lupus! HEALTH INDUSTRY MARCH 9, 2011, 6:22 P.M. ET Wall Street Journal The Food and Drug Administration approved a new lupus drug from Human Genome Sciences Inc. and GlaxoSmithKline PLC, marking the first new treatment for the autoimmune disease in more than 50 years.

Rare Disease Day was established in 2008 to raise awareness about rare diseases, which together impact millions of people worldwide.  While the Raynaud’s population is too large to be considered in this category, many among us with secondary Raynaud’s suffer from these rare medical conditions.
