The Raynaud’s community lost a strong advocate this week – Ronni Shulman (Mallozzi) who passed away from complications associated with scleroderma, a serious autoimmune disorder to which her Raynaud’s was a secondary ailment.
Ronni was a charter member of the Raynaud’s Association’s Board of Directors and our Vice Chair since the organization was incorporated nearly 25 years ago. That’s a lot of years of endless volunteer energy and support.
Ronni spearheaded many of of the Raynaud’s Association’s efforts to help patients gain awareness that their painful symptoms have a medical explanation. She personally interviewed fellow Frosties for our Member Spotlight posts, composed our press releases, proofread our newsletters and blog posts, was a sounding board for fundraising campaigns and so much more. And she did it all while suffering from severe symptoms of scleroderma.
