We’ve been getting a lot of positive vibes lately about the warming benefits of alpaca. John in NY emailed us this message and agreed to let us share his advice in our Spring 2025 Member Tips column.
I very strongly recommend alpaca socks sold by many companies online. They come in several styles. One company has boot socks that reach to just below the knee. Gloves are harder to find but I bought mine from a local alpaca farm.
I found that the online brand PACA socks are reasonably priced and outstandingly warm. they are lightweight, unlike bulky wool blends. Lots of continuing deals, so look for the best price/number of pairs.
Since receiving this suggestion from John, our friends at HXT announced that they will be introducing alpaca socks in time for the upcoming fall season, so stay tuned for more news and member discount incentives when they are launched.
