We've been contacted by a researcher at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City to help recruit Raynaud's patients for a clinical trial using Botox® to relieve symptoms from Raynaud's phenomenon. Raynaud’s patients are being recruited to participate in a clinical trial at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine’s Division of Plastic Surgery.
We’ve shared in the past that Botox® is being tested as a potential treatment for Raynaud’s. Results of an initial small study were promising enough that a new trial is underway at Emory University – unfortunately still a small study, but at least it’s progress.
Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is currently recruiting Raynaud’s patients to participate in a clinical trial of BOTOX® therapy for chronic pain and ulcerations. This is a 28-day randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial requiring travel to the clinic in Springfield, Illinois.
