Our mascot and official spokesbird Shivers is back to reach out with a special Valentine’s Day request.
Shivers is a Blue-footed Booby from the Galapagos Islands whose bright blue feet are nature’s way of helping him win over females. It seems bright blue feet on these seabirds is a sign of good health, thus attracting female birds during mating season.
Unfortunately, Shivers is still a bachelor. You can see his difficulty winning over females in this video – he’s just not the suave, debonair type. And the lack of love in his life adds to being cold and miserable. Frosties can certainly identify with that!
So here’s a warm heartfelt plea from Shivers: He’s asking for your help in sending some real love his way. You can fulfill his Valentine’s Day request by donating to the Raynaud’s Association – a cause near and dear to his heart as our mascot. Every donation helps Shivers – and fellow Frosties served by the Association – find warmth and comfort, and maybe even a little love in knowing we’re not alone this cold winter season.
